The First Interstate Bank Missoula Tower is designed to respect historic downtown Missoula, MT, and the future of banking. The brick and precast of the first two levels recognizes that there has been a bank on this corner since the mid-1800s, and rising from it is a new 118,000 sq. ft. glass structure reflecting the future. To ensure building efficiency, eQUEST modeling was used to select materials and systems. Sustainable aspects of the building include reusing 95% of the demolished portions of the old building, stormwater management, low-flow plumbing fixtures, and using rainwater for irrigation and groundwater for cooling.
