CTA completed a City of Kalispell water and wastewater extension within MT Highway 93 right-of-way. The project included 11,350 feet of 14-inch water and 16,000 feet of wastewater facilities, including 18-inch gravity, a Sewage Lift station and 8-, 12- and 14-inch force mains. The water and wastewater extensions will serve an ultimate population of 13,500. Design aspects included multiple utility crossings of the Stillwater River and Highway 93 by the use of Horizontal Directional Drilling and Bore and Jacking. Permitting was required from: US Army Corps of Engineers, Flathead County Conservation District, Montana Department of Natural Resources (DNRC), Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, Federal Fish and Wildlife Service, Flathead County Flood Plain Administrator, City of Kalispell, Montana Department of Transportation and Montana Department of Environmental Quality.
