This project replaced buildings that were damaged or destroyed on three separate National Wildlife Refuges in East Texas, by Hurricane Ike in 2008. USFWS used their nationwide MATOC contract to select C3 as the design/build team to construct the new facility. CTA is a partner in C3 and acted as the lead design firm for this new $18,500,000 campus which was completed in the spring of 2013.
CTA Structural provided framing and connection design for a highly eccentric steel-framed building located in a hurricane region. The structure features a second story that extends outside of the building footprint and is supported by a single, sloped column.
High Performance: This project is anticipated to receive LEED Gold Certification
