Yellowstone National Park – Sprinkler System Designs
CTA’s Fire Protection specialists have completed several projects at various sites within Yellowstone National Park. The team designed new sprinkler systems for the Old Faithful Visitor Center and the new Mammoth Federal Courthouse. Fire water flow testing has also been conducted at the Lake General Store, the Tower General Store, and the Albright Visitor’s Center in an effort to get their sprinkler systems running efficiently, limit potential corrosion and to manage geothermal water system challenges.
To maintain structural and historic requirements and the design of the structures, numerous systems were designed with exposed piping to minimize the visual impact on the spaces. Many of these systems included copper tubing which is visually pleasing and assists in corrosion minimization.
